Blog 335: Be Here Now

Telling yourself, “I’ll be happy when …” is a really awful trap to fall into. There is no end to that statement that makes it a winner because it puts too much emphasis on circumstances, and improved circumstances don’t always lead to happiness.
Rather than focusing your energy on waiting – waiting for something better later – focus on being happy now. You can’t control later, there may not be a future, but there is right now.
Paying attention to right now, this moment, this day, this opportunity is all you can control and all that matters.
Make the most of it.
