Blog 331: At Some Point

“Ordinary life does not interest me.” – Anaïs Nin
No matter how good everything is, sooner or later, you’re going to wonder if there is more if life can be better, less ordinary.
You’ll wonder if there is more you can do. More you can be. More you can matter. You’re going to start to wonder about the possibility of your business, and you’re going to see that it isn’t work-life balance, but rather work-life integration that is your goal.
You’re going to wonder why you can’t have the life you deserve. You’re going to call yourself on a lot of your assumptions. You’re going to kick the status quo to the curb and do what you do differently and wonderfully enough to capture people’s attention. And you’re going to find it really easy because all you are going to do is do it the way you feel is right.
One of these days, you’ll accept that everything is a commodity except for compassion and empathy. You’re going to do more human, dangerous, generous work than anyone else is willing to do. Because of this, everyone you know is going to say nice things about you and want to help you because you’re so incredibly generous and present and so obviously happy doing what you do the way you do it.
At least, I hope so.
