“I’ve got to keep breathing. It will be my worst business mistake if I don’t.” – Steve Martin
We all make mistakes in business. I’ve made some good ones and some bad ones and a lot of other ones too.
Mistakes are a necessary part of the process; you learn from them, adjust, and come back a little better and wiser the next time.
A misfire in business is a mismatch between what you are offering, and what the market is interested in. Misfires are not the end of the world if you’re willing to listen, retreat, retool and redeploy. Or as they used to say standing around the Flak guns “Misfire, schmisfire.”
Miserable messes, which can be people, places, machinery, software, ideas, attitudes as well as a whole lot of other things, are an invitation to find a solution.
See? Easy.
Make some mistakes.
Try again.
Go solve a problem.
Then go solve another one.
