Do you know what every successful business, brand and person have in common?
People talk about them all the time with some passion. When we hear a story that is so compelling that we want to hear it twice, “wait, tell me that again … “ what we are really saying is, “I want to be a part of this story.”
Do people talk about you?
They don’t talk about what the business does; they talk about how the business does it and why that matters to them.
The funny thing is that I don’t hear a lot of financial advisors thinking about how they can be worth people’s attention. I hear a lot about how to be worth their investment.
Worry more about being worth their attention. Making them look.
When you are worth their attention, be worth their time.
When you are worth their attention and time, the investment is easy.
